Using a custom domain for your survey is an excellent way to increase response rates, as it builds trust by showing the survey comes directly from you—for example, using satisfaction.acme.com instead of feedier.feedback.com.

  1. Configure Your DNS

To activate your custom domain, first you need to create a CNAME record in your DNS provider’s settings.

Please configure your DNS as follows:

Field

Value

Name / Host / Alias

feedback / satisfaction(or your preferred subdomain)

TTL

3600

Record Type

CNAME

Value

proxy.feedier.com

You can verify the domain setup via: DNS Checker - DNS Check Propagation Tool

Once done, please confirm back to the Feedier team that the record has been created.

2. Provide Your Custom Domain(s)

As a second step:

  • Please send us the domain you'd like to use for your survey (e.g., feedback.yourname.com).

  • If you plan to use different domains for different surveys, please provide a table listing each survey and its corresponding custom domain.

Example table:

Survey Name

Custom Domain

Post-Sales NPS

Support Feedback

4. Feedier Configuration (Our Side)

Once we receive the domain(s) and the DNS setup is complete:

  • The Feedier team will create a proxy host for your custom domain.

  • We'll finalize the setup on our side.

  • We'll confirm once everything is ready.

(Optional) Provide Your SSL Certificate

If you are using a custom SSL certificate, please send us:

  • Your certificate file

  • The private key

  • Any required CA bundles

This will allow us to configure your custom domain with your own SSL security.

Note: DNS propagation may take 24–48 hours. Please be patient before testing.

5. Final Setup in Feedier (Your Side)

Once we confirm setup is complete:

  1. Go to your Feedier dashboard

  2. Navigate to Surveys

  3. Click on the survey you want to assign a domain to

  4. Go to Options → Settings

  5. In the field “Set your own domain”, enter the URI of your custom domain (e.g., https://feedback.acme.com).

Your custom domain is now active and tied to the specific survey.
