Filtering in Reports

Filtering in reports is one of the most important actions when tailoring a report, there are two ways of filtering in the report.

Global Filters

Global filters have as a goal to filter the whole report, they work the same as in other places in the platform, you apply a filter and all the data in charts will consider this.

When having differences between what you see in a component compared to Dashboard or Live Feed make sure you've checked global filters to see if there is a difference in the scope.

Component Filters

Component filters main goal is when you want to apply to components different filters that are not complementary between them. For example when creating a report based on a source you can create one KPI based on January and another one based on February. Both will respect the source filer but then they will be filtered by the component filters.

Ignore report filter toggle is when you want this component to work independently of the global filters of the report.

The relation between component and global filters is always AND.

Creating components

On the right toolbar in reports the + button is the list of components we have available, you can create components by doing a drag and drop or clicking the + on each one of them.

You can now create components using Ask Feedier Feature, a conversation will be opened after selecting it and you can ask for components creation based on your needs.
